How WordPress Can Make You Look Super Cool and Brilliant!
There’s always a non-believer in the crowd. When I talk to groups about WordPress and how versatile it is, there’s always one person who asks “Besides using WordPress as a blog + website, what else can you use it for?” I have a long list of answers to this question however one of my favourite answers (because it gets the “OH WOW!” response that I love so much) is to inform them about “digital business cards”. It sounds kinda boring at first but it’s super cool, trust me.
A digital business card is a site (such as www.yournamehere.com) that contains your contact information of course, just like a regular business card. However the digital business card can be updated at any time even after you just printed 500 business cards! That’s pretty cool, but there’s more.
On your digital business card site you can also show off your social media profiles!
Finally one place to send clients, potential clients and potential fans to. What is a WordPress Blogsite?
Need a blog or a new website? How about a blogsite? A blogsite is a blog with all the features of a website. This means you can add new posts, articles, tips just as you would with a blog and you can have static pages and a menu bar like other websites. (This website is a blogsite.)
Traditional websites can be troublesome for those of us who like to update our content often. If you are constantly adding new teleclasses, speaking dates and other offers you know how much this can cost you to make changes to your site. Traditional websites are not pleasant to update and so we end up leaving them as they are. - you can add accessories (known as ‘plugins’) to spice up your blog such as polls, ‘email to a friend’, statistics, site maps, and many more
- WordPress is free to use
- WordPress offers 1000’s of free blogsite designs (known as ‘themes’) and many more unique themes for a small fee

- Commenting on your blog
- Signing up to your newsletter
- Sending new visitors to your site
Each time they do any one of the above they get a “ticket”. So the more times they promote it the more “tickets” they get.
