Software needs to be updated for a number of reasons: to stay secure, to take advantage of new technology, and to continue to serve your business interests. Unfortunately, all software is vulnerable. Technology gets outdated and things change. This includes the technology tat powers your website.The fact of the matter is, more than half of all successful hacks come through WordPress themes and plugins and over 170,000 sites were hacked in 2014 alone. WordPress powers over 76.5 million sites and 17 posts are published every second on WordPress sites around the world. This kind of popularity, unfortunately, comes with a lot of attention from hackers. More and more websites are getting hacked and attacked, including the big players like Twitter and Facebook as well as millions of small businesses every day.
Your Website Should Never be “Complete”
Unlike print brochures of the past (and static “brochureware” websites of the early internet), your website should NEVER be complete. Technology changes, things improve, new strategies replace old, ineffective ones. How do your support tasks work?
We’re glad you asked that! You simply send us an email with clear instructions on what you’d like to do or change on your website and we either get right to work on making it happen or we let you know that your request will exceed your allotted time this month and ask how you’d like to proceed. Once completed, we will notify you the task is done.
What happens if I’m hacked, my site goes down, or something breaks?
First thing to do is not panic. Things happen! Unfortunately we can’t promise you won’t be hacked, or your site won’t go down or break on occasion. What we can promise is, if it does happen, we will assist you in the restoration of your site with one of our backups.
How do strategy calls with Sandra work?
As I’m sure you already know, Sandra has been in business for over a decade. What you may not know is she’s also certified in a variety of things, such as Wishlist Member, Facebook Advertising, and SEO – just to name a few. With our Partner Plan, you can tap into Sandra’s deep knowledge and plan out your quarterly strategy with ease. The calls help you focus on growing and improving your website. Sessions can also be used for online screen-sharing, small updates, or training – it’s all up to you.
You will simply book your quarterly call via Sandra’s online calendar and she’ll be ready to make the most out of your call.
What if I have a larger project that needs to get done outside my plan hours?
If you have something you’re looking to have done (a new membership site / area, a website refresh, some graphic design, etc.) that is beyond what is included in your particular plan, don’t worry. We’ll submit a quote for you to approve separately and then schedule that work in once it’s approved.
For established clients, we will sometimes evaluate requests that will exceed your plan on a case by case basis, and with prior signed approval we will complete the work and invoice you for the time exceeded at our support rate. We will never begin work without approval from you regarding the time and investment needed.
What is your hourly rate?
We’re glad you asked! Our standard hourly rate for non-clients is $130/hour. Care package clients are billed at a client rate of $100/hour.
Can I use my own hosting?
Of course you can! While we don’t provide hosting, we do have hosts we prefer to work with, but we will work with your host to ensure everything is good to go in that regard.
How does billing work?
When you choose your plan, you will be automatically set up to make payments every month via PayPal via subscription. Your subscription will renew each month from the date you initially signed up for your plan.
What is the cancellation policy on these plans?
You can cancel at any time. We’d be sad to wave good-bye, but we understand financial and other needs influence many decisions and we’d certainly not want to stand in the way of those decisions. Simply email us a cancellation request at email@example.com and we will immediately stop your next payment – no questions asked but we can’t promise we won’t miss you when you’re gone.
